IAPM Project Manager of the Year Felix Hess: “The people in the project environment enjoy working with him.”
11.10.2013 -
Dr. Hans Stromeyer, IAPM President and proprietor of Stromeyer und Partner Consulting, LLC., travelled to Germany from Texas to personally present the Project Manager of the Year Award to Felix Hess. In his laudatory speech, he commended Felix Hess for a skill that people especially appreciate about him: his outstanding talent as a communicator. Hans Stromeyer emphasised the importance that the IAPM attaches to this soft skill, which is why the third selection criterion for the Project Manager of the Year Award is the project manager's personal conduct in a project environment.
The IAPM selects its Project Manager of the Year on the basis of the three neutral criteria of project management knowledge, project management experience and - as already mentioned -personal conduct in a project environment. Felix Hess gained a distinction in the comprehensive written examination for Certified Senior Project Manager (IAPM) certification. He also achieved the highest score for project management experience and was described by his own organisation as a very motivating project manager who doesn’t just ensure that stakeholders accept his projects but also that they are inspired by them. “We hope that many other project managers will follow his example,” said Dr. Hans Stromeyer in his laudatory speech. “And that he will continue to enjoy project management and be successful in all of his projects.”
