Felix Hess is the IAPM’s Project Manager of the Year – congratulations! 01.10.2013 - On 27 September the IAPM International Association of Project Managers once again presented its annual Project Manager of the Year Award. Felix Hess, project manager at the pharma and healthcare product specialist Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH, accepted the award from IAPM President Dr. Hans Stromeyer at a ceremonial event.

The IAPM presents the award to its certificate holders for outstanding achievements in project management over the year. Award winners are selected according to three criteria. The first, ‘project management knowledge‘, is assessed in terms of the result achieved in the IAPM’s Certified Senior Project Manager certification examination. ‘Project management experience‘ is the second criterion. Felix Hess has been working for Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH since 2012. During this short period, he has already successfully managed several complex investment and development projects. This is made all the more impressive by the fact that Felix Hess has managed up to five projects concurrently, including projects with budgets of several tens of millions of euros. As project manager, he is responsible for all stages of the project, from specification drafting through prototype development to series manufacture, plus deadline and budget adherence in the development of production facilities. Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH confirmed to the IAPM that Felix Hess is a motivating project manager who not only ensures that stakeholders accept his projects but also that they are inspired by them. This, the third criterion, was decisive to his selection as IAPM Project Manager of the Year.
