Review of the year 2018

21.12.2018 - The year 2018 is almost over and we are pleased that we can finish this year - thanks to you - so successfully.

We achieved our strategic goals for 2018 earlier than planned. 110 nations were scheduled for the end of the year - we could reach them in July. Also, our planned 3,333 project managers certified according to IAPM standards were reached in November.

Since this year, our standards have been officially recognised by the Procurement Office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and IAPM-certified project managers can now also manage federal projects. For this, there was an award procedure with three lots - single project management, large-scale and multi-project management as well as project management of security-relevant projects.

In addition to this recognition from the government, we are also pleased that the United Nations (UN) also regards our concept as good and has employees certified by the IAPM. We feel very honoured by this official confirmation.

This year, of course our junior project managers did not miss out: Beatrice Monique Rich and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralf Woll from the Chair of Quality Management at the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus were awarded the teaching prize for their module "Project Management". The two prize winners are Network Officials of the IAPM Network University and provide their students with content that covers the IAPM standards.

We are also pleased that we have been able to publish a new whitepaper this year. The guide on resource management was developed in cooperation with the software producer CanDo and brings interested parties closer to the efficient use of human resources.
