Why is it not necessary to renew / recertify a certificate on a regular basis?

Each certificate and each examination result documents the state of knowledge at the time of the examination acceptance. Like a high school diploma, a university degree or a driver's license, an IAPM certificate does not have to be renewed. The IAPM believes that every responsible project manager independently expands his knowledge and experience. The IAPM does not see itself as a supervisory body. For this reason, it deliberately avoids costly and time-consuming recertifications.
