What is the reason why I do not have to recertify the Cert. Agile Project Manager (IAPM) certification on a regular base?

As with an school leaving examination, the driver's licence examination or the final degree, the IAPM certification examinations only have to be taken once and are valid for a lifetime. We are the opinion that every responsible project manager independently expands his knowledge and his horizon of experience. The IAPM does not see itself as a supervisory body. For this reason, we deliberately refrain from costly and time-consuming recertification.
