Submission of interview requests and surveys

Many students know the scenario: you are writing a scientific paper, for example your final thesis, and you want to back up the theory presented, which you have obtained through literature research, with practical information. You want to move away from desk research and towards primary research, i.e. field research.
Students have a number of options at their disposal: they can, for example, conduct an experiment, make observations or gain insights through interviews and surveys.
And this is exactly where the IAPM wants to support you!
We know that it can be very difficult to approach the right target group for a survey or to find the right interview partner, so feel free to take advantage of our offer to support you.

Reaching the right target group with your survey

Are you currently conducting a survey on a project management-related topic and still looking for participants? Then simply send us an email to academics@iapm.net with the following information:
  • Your name
  • Email address to contact you
  • (Rough) topic of your work and topic of your survey
  • Deadline to participate in the survey
  • Link to the survey
  • Duration of the survey
  • If important for the survey: target group
Please note: If you want your email address or phone number to be published, you have to mention this explicitly. Otherwise we will not publish this data under any circumstances!

Finding an interview partner

You would like to discuss your hypotheses with an expert or get the opinion of an experienced project manager on a certain topic? Then we can help you find a suitable interview partner. Just send us an email with the following information to academics@iapm.net:
  • Your name
  • Email address to contact you
  • (Rough) topic of your work and topic of your interview
  • What should characterise your interview partner? (e.g. specialisations, profession, prior knowledge, spoken language)

Which are the next steps?

  1. As soon as you have sent us an email and we have reviewed it, we will get back to you. This can take up to 72 hours (on weekdays). If you do not hear back from us, please check your spam folder and take a look at this page.
  2. We will now start to publish your survey or request on our website. If you have shared a survey, we will also take part to assess it.
  3. Once we have published your survey or request on our website, we will inform you and send you the link. Feel free to share this link with your network.
  4. We will then contact potential interviewees or study participants, if available, and share the page on our social media channels. If you also want to be mentioned in this post, please also share your LinkedIn/Twitter and/or Xing profile with us.

In case you are looking for an interview partner: by sending your email you agree that we will share your email address and name with potential interview partners so that they can get in touch with you.

Please note: Although we share your request or survey, we cannot guarantee that participants will take part in your survey or that you will find an interview partner due to our efforts.

You are also welcome to share your request directly in our groups on LinkedIn or Xing.

  • The IAPM does not collect any data itself, but only acts as an intermediary for students conducting surveys.
  • The IAPM supports students in establishing contacts with interview partners, but we are not responsible for their opinions and statements during an interview.
