The Agile Project Managers' Guide (IAPM)
The IAPM's Agile Project Management Baseline
What is the Agile Project Managers' Guide (IAPM)?
In an agile project with a Scrum framework, you will be Product Owner, Scrum Master or member of a Scrum Team working towards the successful conclusion of your project with your colleagues. Dynamic and flexible projects can also be managed with the Kanban method or combined with the Scrum method. Extreme programming - another agile method - is often used in conjunction with these two agile project management techniques. Whether you are involved in pure Scrum or mixed method projects, you need specific skills and knowledge to perform all the different roles effectively. You have to develop excellent project management skills for agile projects and, preferably, have them confirmed by external certification.
The "Agile Project Managers' Guide (IAPM)" forms the basis for the IAPM certification program and defines all the topics relevant to the certification exams in agile project management.

How is the Agile Project Managers' Guide (IAPM) structured?
The Agile Project Managers' Guide (IAPM) consists of three sections.
Section 1 deals with the topic of agile project management. You will learn about the agile frameworks and methods Scrum, Kanban and Extreme Programming. You will learn which are the rules of the Scrum framework, which roles are essential for a Scrum team and which artefacts are important in this context. Kanban and Extreme Programming each have their own chapter.
Section 2 is about people in agile projects, especially in Scrum. What is the best way to work in a team? What is the best way to deal with stress? These and other questions are answered in this chapter.
Section 3 explains how project managers in the agile environment can have their competencies certified and increase their market value. The IAPM certification levels and the certification process are described and explained in detail here.
