This week, these three articles were particularly inspiring:
The Return of “Ted Lasso” and the End of “Tyrannical” Managers?
Leadership in project management is discussed again and again. Should the project manager lead more or allow more freedom? Is he the one who ultimately decides or does he support his team in decision-making? But there is one thing everyone agrees on: a manager should not be a tyrant, employees should not be humiliated or yelled at. More important is empathy, which a leader should have in order to better understand the team members and motivate them.
We recommend to read the article by Mark Graban about the series Ted Lasso and his leadership qualities.

Adopting Agile in Your Daily Life
Many people believe that project management can only be applied in a corporate setting. In particular, when many people work together to realise a project or when a new product is to be developed for a specific target group. However, many people have probably already made a to-do list to structure their daily chores or a grocery list for the whole week. At this point, it should become clear that project management methods can also make your private life a lot easier. But in addition to the classic methods, agile techniques are also great for managing one’s everyday life in an organised and thoughtful way. But how do you ask yourself now? This article will explain it to you!

5S
The 5S method, which originally comes from hardware development, deals with optimising efficiency. It can be reinterpreted and combined with established software development structures such as Extreme Programming or Scrum. The 5S method stands for: select (everything useless is sorted out), sort (clear and sensible preparation of tools), stay clean (the workplace must be kept clean), standardise (where possible, the same procedures should be chosen) and make it self-evident (internalise all previous steps and let them become a natural part of the work).
You can find more possible applications, variations of this method and unexpected possibilities in the article by Felix Stein.
