Network Meeting in Zurich (Switzerland) on 07 November 2014

The IAPM Zurich Network hosted the IAPM Network Meeting "What is expected of a professional project manager today" on 7 November 2014. The 25 participants from the project management sector all arrived in autumn weather at the Zurich hotel where the event was being held.

The IAPM was able to engage Swiss project manager, author, management coach, lecturer and examinations expert Bruno Jenny as speaker. In a one-hour presentation, he talked about the competences and skills that a project manager requires today and in future in order to perform his or her role professionally. He focused on agility and flexibility in project management, describing the concept of virtual velocity, explaining how to handle projects with different characters and how to take calculated risks in a project using many project management metaphors. Afterwards, participants made the most of the opportunity to put questions to Bruno Jenny.

Extensive positive feedback indicates that the evening was a resounding success and enjoyed by all. The next Network Meeting is already being planned and we’re looking forward to seeing you again!
