Follow-up on the IAPM Network Meeting for the Central Region of Vienna in Graz on 15 December 2014

Reflecting the mood of the pre-Christmas period, project managers from Austria enjoyed a book reading with mulled wine and open sandwiches at the Network Meeting organised by Senior Official Günter Markowitz on 15 December 2014.

Many certified colleagues, project managers and business owners from Austria and even the Czech Republic accepted the IAPM’s invitation to attend.

After a brief presentation about the IAPM by Günter Markowitz, Dr Roland Ottmann, Chairman of the IAPM’s Council of Experts, read an excerpt from his new book, "The Project Manager and Miss Sophie“ in an informal setting. The audience listened attentively to the interesting and humorous reading, and many of them couldn’t help smiling in some parts.  After the reading, a quiz was held to gain some ideas for topics to be covered at the next Network Meetings in Austria before signed copies of the book were presented to Adolf Knapp and the IAPM Project Manager of the Year 2014 Harald Kiendler of Siemens.

Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to network and share ideas over mulled wine and open sandwiches at the heart of Graz’s city centre. The evening concluded with visits to several of Graz’s Christmas markets by the core team, who very much enjoyed sampling the quality of Schilcher mulled wine.
