Annual Conference for IAPM Officials and Trainers in Berlin (Germany) on 14 November 2013

Senior Official Wilhelm Feldt hosted the Annual Conference for Network Officials and Training Partners at the Savoy Hotel in Berlin on 14 November 2013. It was also attended by Dr. Hans Stromeyer, President of the IAPM, and Dr. Roland Ottmann, Chairman of the Council of Experts.
The IAPM’s annual conferences serve as an opportunity to review the past year, vote on IAPM-related issues and discuss proposals for the upcoming year.
Dr. Hans Stromeyer welcomed Officials and Trainers from all over Germany and began be reiterating the IAPM’s concept of providing support and networking opportunities for project managers. The IAPM is committed to publicising the topic of project management, and to providing project management-related information and support. It believes that its freely available Web content is fully in tune with the times.

This was followed by various discussions and votes. The IAPM’s network will be further extended in 2014 and there will be new, exciting and informative events for certificate holders, guests and members of the IAPM social networks. The IAPM’s online information service will also be further extended with the IAPM blog.

With some pride, it was reported that project managers from 24 nations now hold IAPM certificates, which confirms that the IAPM is no longer an international, but a global association. This is another development that the IAPM intends to drive in future.
The conference was an important means of providing guidance to and coordinating the officials‘ work in a goal-oriented organisation which is part of an efficient network that benefits all project managers.

Further issues were discussed at an informal dinner after the conference. The evening ended very successfully with a visit to the “Die Stachelschweine“ cabaret theatre in the Europa-Center.

The conference was a motivating event and all participants are now looking forward to their work in 2014.
