Network Meeting on 07-11-2014

Network Meeting on 07-11-2014 14.08.2014 - Our speaker will be Swiss project manager, management trainer, author, lecturer and examination expert Bruno Jenny, who will be talking on the subject of “What is expected of a professional project manager today?“

Bruno has been playing an active and supporting role in projects on various hierarchical levels for insurance companies, banks, industrial corporations, as well as national and canton-level public sector institutions for more than 30 years. In this role he has gained extensive project-related experience in the areas of functional and psychological changes at strategic and operational level.

As author, lecturer, coach and examination expert (for diverse Swiss diploma programmes and MBAs) he is very familiar with the current training scene and he has been lecturing at various business colleges, universities and companies since 1988. In his many presentations at public and company management workshops and in diverse text books and publications, he portrays professional project management as a forward-looking management system.

In a one-hour presentation, Bruno Jenny will be talking about the competences and skills that a project manager requires today and in future in order to perform his or her role professionally. He will be focusing on agility and flexibility in project management, describing the concept of virtual velocity, explaining how to handle projects with different characters and how to take calculated risks in a project. In the subsequent discussion you will have the opportunity to put your questions to Bruno Jenny before we move on to the final part of the event (get-together/networking).

After the interesting presentation, Dr. Hans Stromeyer, the IAPM’s President and Senior Official in Houston, Texas/USA, will give a speech. Then all participants will have the opportunity to discuss project management-related topics over drinks and snacks, get to know each other better and network with each other.
We hope very much that you will be able to attend. If you are interested in this event, please register via the XING ticket service (www.xing.com/events/07-11-2014-iapm-nwt-professionellen-projektmanager-erwartet-1434487). You have to be logged in to XING to view the event.
